WATER CENTRIC REPLACEMENT SERVICE

WATER CENTRIC REPLACEMENT SERVICE

OVERVIEW

Tasked with replacing a pump and motor on well, a routine job for Hydro. This operation however was faced with multiple hurdles before completion. Having limited access to the area, working in close proximity to the building, and only having permission to work at night put Hydro’s team in a unique challenge that required careful planning and execution.

MAIN CHALLENGE

Due to the nature of the business Hydro was working with, we agreed to run our operation at night in order to not disrupt the flow of business during regular operating hours. We were also gaining access to the well from an entrance point just 5 feet from the building, making it difficult to fit all equipment and crew in such tight quarters. In addition to our typical equipment we would also have to run light towers in already cramped space to properly light the work area to ensure safety.

HYDRO’S SOLUTION

After a quick diagnosis of the situation and a carefully considered plan, we scheduled the work for the week of spring break, and worked nights only in an attempt to minimize impact on the customer. Hydro furthered our name as the experts in the well service business by successfully and promptly replacing the pump and motor on a well that failed during the start of the summer months. Despite stringent time constraints and job site conditions, we were able to extract the old pump and replace it with minimal down time for our client, allowing them to be fully operational in just 7 days.

ADVANTAGE

With the system already experiencing a drop in efficiency before failure, Hydro’s replacement pump and motor, projected and accomplished a return to 100% efficiency.
